A self-taught artist, born and educated in Dublin, with an Irish father and English mother.
Strong chiaroscuro, heavy impasto, vigorous brushwork and direct, expressive handling were characteristics of Culley’s work, in which Celtic imagery and associations were important.

Voted Celtic's greatest ever player in 2002. Wee Jinky as he is know to fans was one of the best wingers of his generation and was one of the famous Lisbon Lions who lifted the European Cup in 1967. The website supports the launch of the documentary film 'Lord of the Wing', charting the life of the famous player.

Denis Bowen's work has recently been acquired by the Tate Modern Gallery.
Bowen was one of the first 'Tachiste' painters in Britain; developing the influences of the Ecole de Paris, the Futurists, Kandinsky, Max Ernst and his obsession for space discovery, into his own abstract style.
